Larry Davis, a 6-foot-2 guard from Christ The King High School in Middle Village, N.Y., stated he is going to be patient with is recruiting situation.

Having committed to North Carolina State last fall, Davis awaits a chance to speak to the next head coach for the Wolfpack.

Davis said that he is leaving all options open in his recruiting process. Due to Herb Sendek leaving the Wolfpack program, Davis has left the door open to change his mind and ask for a release.

"I first have to talk to the new coach," Davis said. "Once I do that then I will make up my mind on what I will do. I am talking to my family everyday about it."

Davis said at first he was disappointed in Sendek's decision to leave NC State. "But after talking to him and him explaining it to me why he had to make the move, I understood," Davis said. "He called me two days before it was announced to the public. I was glad he called and explained it to me."

When John Calipari's name came up as the next possible head coach at NC State, Davis was excited. "He's a great coach," Davis said. "I have been talking to Gavin (Grant) and he was excited too."

But it never materialized. "I'm patient," Davis said. "I just have to be and wait."
