The highly touted athlete from Hillside High School in Durham, NC already has offers from just about every school in the ACC and SEC, in addition to national powerhouses such as Nebraska, Oklahoma, Penn State and Michigan.
With all the attention coming from around the country, it's going to take a great effort from the NC State coaching staff to keep Little at home. How successful has their pitch been thus far?
"They've been recruiting me right from the start with everyone else," said Little. "I have a meeting with Coach Trestman planned for May 12, so I'll get a look at the details of their offense. I've visited the campus a few times and I like what I've seen as far as their play-calling on offense goes.
"I've been reading up on Coach Amato's background and I'm impressed with what he's done over his career. I like the coaches and I like the academics at State. I also think I'll be able to compete for early playing time, whether that's at running back or receiver."
Fortunately for the Pack, those three criteria are of the highest importance to Little.
"When I'm choosing a school, the biggest factor is going to be my relationship with the coaches. I want to feel like I can relate to the guys who will be coaching me for four years. Second, I'll be looking at playing time. Then third, I'll consider academics. Just about all the schools recruiting me have at least pretty good academics."
While Little seems to know quite a bit about the Pack, don't assume that he has an early favorite.
"I'm still pretty wide open about everything," said Little. "I'm going to spend the next couple of months going to schools and camps and trying to get feedback from schools that haven't been showing me as much interest. Ideally every school in the country would offer you a scholarship, so I just want to have as many options to choose from as I can get."
Hillside was just 4-7 last year, but Little should once again garner much national attention for the Durham school.
