"I have camps left with Michigan and Michigan State [this week] and Wisconsin the last week of June."
Last season, Threet (6-6, 230 pounds) threw for close to 1,600 yards and 20 touchdowns en route to all-conference and all-county honors. He helped lead his team to an 8-1 record and a conference championship before bowing out in the state playoffs.
He has since garnered double-digit scholarship offers including tenders from NC State, Georgia Tech, Stanford, Wisconsin, Indiana, Illinois, Central Michigan, Miami (OH), Toledo, and Cincinnati among others.
Who is recruiting him the hardest?
"I would probably say Georgia Tech is recruiting me the hardest," said Threet. "They've really made a push for me, but at this time I don't really know where I want to go."
NC State also caught Threet's attention. The Wolfpack offered him earlier this spring and remain firmly in the mix.
"NC State was really nice," he said. "I liked NC State a lot. I got a chance to throw with coach Trestman and work out some with him. It was a good visit."
While he admitted that there is no clear leader or a set decision date, Threet stated that a decision could be coming soon.
"I'd like to make it sometime in July," he said. "I don't have a specific day, but probably late-July. I just want to get it out of the way before the season and that way I can concentrate on the high school season."
