"RALEIGH — N.C. State quarterback Mike Greco has left the Wolfpack program and enrolled at Pearl River Community College in Poplarville, Miss., Wildcats coach Tim Hatten said today.
Greco, a 6-foot-3, 220-pound lefthander from Lighthouse Point, Fla., was redshirted as a freshman last season. Greco had a 60-yard touchdown pass and 60-yard scoring run in the Pack's spring scrimmage in April but was slated to enter preseason drills competing for the backup position behind starter Marcus Stone."
Stone enters the season as the starter, but Daniel Evans and incoming freshman Justin Burke are also expected to be in the mix. Greco's departure is not surprising, as it had been rumored all summer that he had been unhappy with his situation at the quarterback position.
