Defensive end Adewale Ojomo is one of the Pack's top targets in the Class of 2007 and the Hialeah, FL rising senior has already set up an official visit to Raleigh.
It will not come any time soon, but NC State was the first school Ojomo decided to visit.
"I'm going to be going up there sometime in December," said Ojomo. "My coach knows the date, but I know I'm going to be up at NC State sometime that month. I'm looking for open spots in my schedule so I can take my other visits too. I'll probably just take trips over the weekend when I have a game on a Thursday so I'll have a lot of time."
The 6-4, 211-pound defensive end is one of the top sack specialists in the state of Florida and has offers from the likes of Miami, Georgia, Auburn, Ole Miss and Pitt. While Ojomo is planning on visiting NC State, another school currently leads.
"Miami is probably my leader right now," said Ojomo. "They're close to home, and they have a great program. The coaches at UM have been asking me to commit for a while now. I just haven't felt like I was ready to make a decision yet.
"I'm not like some other people who will close themselves off to other possibilities. I'm looking at a lot of schools right now and even though Miami leads anything can happen. I'm going to take my five officials before I decide anything."
What does Ojomo like about the Pack?
"The big thing with NC State is the relationship I have with Coach Amato and Coach Stroud. They're real good coaches and guys that anybody would want to play for. They put guys into the league too."
While he is currently a bit undersized every school he has heard from has told Ojomo that he could play defensive end at the next level.
