The 6-4, 230-pound prospect holds offers from NC State, Central Florida, Marshall, Akron and Florida International.
"I'm hearing a lot from NC State," said Anderson. "Coach Dixon text messages me a lot. I've had an offer from them for a little while now so it's good to know the interest is there on their part. I went to a one-day camp there in July and had a great time."
The Pack already has a commitment from three-star tight end George Bryan, but Coach Amato and staff continue to pursue Anderson.
"Tight end is really the only position I'm accustomed to playing, and as far as I know that's what they're still recruiting me as. I've improved a lot since the end of last season. Our school started back last week actually, and we've been practicing for a while.
"I'm just planning on working on picking up more yards after the catch by breaking more tackles this year. Physically I'm still improving a lot."
While the Pack would seem to have a great shot at Anderson given his offer list, he plans on waiting a while before making a decision.
"I'm hearing a lot from schools like Clemson, Miami, Georgia, Nebraska, Tennessee – just a lot of great programs. They haven't offered, but I don't plan on making a decision until probably around the middle of the season. By that time I'm not sure how my offer list will have changed."
