Florida OL Has Pack and Terps at the Top

The offensive line will be a key position throughout the 2006 season as the Wolfpack looks to re-load at the position. State has moved into the top two for one of Florida's best at that position. We've got the latest on OL Micah Grimes' top schools.

OL Micah Grimes recently picked up his ninth offer when Colorado State decided to extend a scholarship to the senior linemen.

The 6-5, 285 pounder will be a four-year starter in 2006 and has proven to be a work horse along the offensive for Ft Meade (Fla) High School. Although Ole Miss held the early lead for Grimes' commitment, he has seemingly turned his attention more towards the schools that have offered as of late.

"Right now, Maryland is number one," said Grimes. "NC State is my number two. Coach Dixon has texted me almost every day for the last two weeks. I'm going to call him and see when I can schedule an official visit. I'm also pretty sure I'm going to take one to Colorado State, too."

With Maryland and NC State moving up, Grimes rounded out his top six schools.

"It's Maryland, NC State, South Florida, Colorado State, Ole Miss and Florida."

Grimes has stated previously that he plans to take several of his official visits before making a decision.
