"I have been having a great summer, and recruiting is going well also. I have been offered by NC State, and that releases some of the pressure I was putting on myself about an offer from them. I have also heard alot from Michigan here lately. They say an offer will come after I send them my first game film from the up coming season. I attended the ECU camp two weeks ago and was named the top DB at camp."
As for what Michael thought of his time at the ECU camp, he said "ECU camp was alot of fun, I was able to go work on both sides of the ball because they also recruit me as a WR. I learned some new things, but it was alot like most other camps. There weren't as many big named guys there so everyone was sort of watching me and Mike Mason work against each other all camp. I think it was good to get some good DB work in against some of the WR though."
We asked Michael if the hard push by Michigan will cause him to delay making a commitment. (He earlier told TSW that he was looking to commit somewhere before the end of summer.) He said, "More than likely, since Michigan has asked to see my first game film I will extend my decision time until during the season."
Michael also wanted to squash some internet rumors of he being pushed to attend UNC from friend Mike Mason. "First of all there is no truth that Mike Mason is pressuring me to attend UNC. Mason and I grew up together in Rocky Mount, NC, I moved to Burlington in the 6th grade and this year at the Nike Camp we meet back up for the first time in like 5 years. We hang out alot and talk alot more now and people see us around each other and run to their computers and start rumors. Mike and me would love to play with each other at the college level, but who knows."
