North Carolina might be the best men's soccer team in the country, but N.C. State is the one with the win. On a chippy evening at Fetzer Field, the unranked Wolfpack handed No. 1-ranked UNC a 3-1 loss, its first of the season. This is the first time since 1997 that N.C. State won its conference opener. "We had a plan," State coach George Tarantini said. "We had a few freshmen who I think did a pretty good job, and I'm extremely proud because we played with a lot of intensity.
