In-State OL Commits to the Pack

NC State picked up another in-state commitment Tuesday evening. Recruiting the OL has been a major point of emphasis for the Wolfpack and they have done a super job of shoring up that position so far for the class of 2007. We've got the latest to pledge to the Pack.

OL Mike Golder from Apex High School has been on the NC State recruiting radar and hoping for a Wolfpack offer for months. On Tuesday evening he got his wish with a phone call from Pack DE coach Todd Stroud.

"Coach Stroud called me," said Golder. "I thought it was going to be one of those calls where they were going to say they were coming to one of my games. I was so psyched when he asked me if I wanted to become a member of the Wolfpack. I told him I was committed because I didn't want that thing to float away or anything."

Although the Pack has struggled a bit the last two games, Golder said he has no doubts about the future of NC State football.

"I'm so stoked to be going there," he said. "I know they've had a tough two games but I know they played some pretty good teams. One thing I know is they're always going to have a good team and good coaches. It's just a good place to be."
