Daniel Evans has been watching N.C. State football games from the sidelines since he was about 10 years old. But Saturday, Evans will move to the playing field at Carter-Finley Stadium when the Wolfpack opens its Atlantic Coast Conference season against Boston College. The sophomore from Raleigh will make his first start at quarterback for N.C. State with hopes of helping the Wolfpack bounce back from a disconcerting 1-2 start. Read More

Carolina, N.C. State could still go bowling

Call me foolish, but despite their pitiful performances thus far, N.C. State and North Carolina can still finish the season in bowl games. The Wolfpack has been awful on offense, scoring 57 points against three non-BCS teams, with seven points coming in garbage time of Saturday's 37-17 rout at Southern Mississippi.
