Athlete Danny Dembry holds five offers and one is from the Pack. What schools are still in the hunt for the Ahoskie (N.C.) Hertford County prospect?
At 6-2 and 180 pounds, Dembry has spent time at quarterback during his high school days. Most schools are recruiting him as either a wide receiver or cornerback. While he does not have blazing speed he does possess great athleticism and potential.
"Right now I have offers from NC State, East Carolina, Kentucky, South Carolina and Buffalo," said Dembry. "I'm still waiting on offers from Auburn, Wake Forest and UNC. They're going to be watching my film that I send them, and I'll be talking to all of them too. Those eight schools are the ones I'm really still looking at."
Hertford County is 5-1 on the season having won their last game 55-0. Recently Dembry has had the opportunity to take in a lot of football action involving the schools still on his list.
"I went to most of the East Carolina-West Virginia game then I came back and watched NC State play. That was a big win for them. Kentucky played Florida pretty tough too.
"I haven't set up any visits yet, but those are schools that I would definitely like to go to. I think I'd like to take most or all of my visits, but we'll see what happens."
What does the senior think about the Wolfpack?
"I still need to learn more about all those schools, but I like everything I know about State. The location is good. I wouldn't have to go too far from home. I like the coaches that I've talked to."
Dembry plans on waiting until after the season before making a decision.
