At 6-3 and 195-pounds Hankerson has excellent size and uses it well on the outside. He has the ability to get downfield and go up over defensive backs and uses his frame to shield defenders from the ball.
"I've narrowed it down to Miami, Ohio State, Georgia, Florida and NC State," said Hankerson. "All of them have offered. I would say my two favorites right now are Miami and Ohio State, but I'm definitely looking at all five."
Hankerson has helped lead St. Thomas Aquinas to a 4-0 record. On the season he has caught 11 passes for 183 yards and four touchdowns. Does he plan on taking any visits in the near future?
"I'm really not sure how that's going to play out," he said. "I know I want to take at least a few official visits before I make my decision, and that might be a while off. I know I'm going to at least go to Miami and Ohio State, but I'll try to go to as many of my favorites as I can."
What is the common denominator between all the schools he is looking at?
"Basically I chose the schools I did because I think they're going to win a lot and I like their offenses. They all rotate a lot of receivers, so I would be able to get on the field. I also picked them because I feel like they would do the best job of getting me to the next level."
The four-star prospect is rated the No. 18 wide receiver in the nation. While he admitted he did not know as much about the Pack as he would like to, he did strongly hint at the possibility of a visit down the road.
