Teleconference: Amato Talks Maryland Loss

Chuck Amato met with the media to wrap up Saturday's game against Maryland.

"The most concerning is the obvious. It was the turnovers, and the timing of the turnovers. A week ago it was a turnover at the end of the first half, this week it was two critical turnovers at the beginning of the second half."

"These kids never stopped playing. They just never stopped playing. We gave up a 24-yard and a 31-yard touchdown drives by Maryland, and we had an 80 yard drive in 16 plays, a 66-yard drive in six plays, and obviously the punt return.... The game came down to an onside kick."

"We have to realize that was his fourth start and his first start away from home, which makes things even more trying. The two picks were kind of uncharacteristic of the way he had been operating."

"He can do better and he knows it. He also put us in position with a couple of good drives."

"A year ago, a team won our division with three conference losses. There's an awful lot of football to be played."

"All we can worry about is ourselves right now."

"Experience is always better."
