Even though his team lost its second straight close ACC game Saturday, N.C. State coach Chuck Amato was all about amor? Monday. Men, Women to Hold Red-White Scrimmages Wednesday
GoPack.com
NC State fans will be able to get a preseason glimpse of both the men's and women's basketball squads this Wednesday night as in a combined Red-White scrimmage. The event will be held at Reynolds Coliseum, and admission is free. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the action is set to begin at 7 p.m. Due to the new Reynolds Coliseum seating capacity, only the first 7,000 fans will be admitted. This is the first time the men's and women's teams will hold scrimmages on the same evening in the same building. Each team will compete in alternating 20-minute scrimmages. There will be spotlight introductions for each player, and women's coach Kay Yow, beginning her 32nd season with the Wolfpack, and men's coach Sidney Lowe, starting his first year at the school he helped to win the 1983 NCAA Championship, will address the crowd. Halftime of the event will feature the Lowe's Food Shoot-out, where fans will be competing for events. Posters for both squads will be given away, as well as pink wristbands and water bottles to support the fight against breast cancer. Fans are also encouraged to bring their pink Yoplait yogurt tops to benefit the Save Lids To Save Lives campaign. Read More
