Defensive tackle Terrell McClain has three offers and is looking at five schools. What are the Pack's chances with the senior from Pensacola?
The 6-2, 265-pound lineman recorded 56 tackles and eight sacks as a junior, making a name for himself in the talent-rich Sunshine State. He has followed that up with several strong showings in his senior campaign. Pensacola is 5-2 through seven games, and McClain has chipped in with 55 tackles and 6.5 sacks.
"I'm still looking at Florida, South Florida, Auburn, Miami and NC State," said McClain. "I have offers from South Florida, NC State and Auburn but I'm hoping the other two offer me sometime. I don't think I'm going to start taking visits until after my season is over, so there's plenty of time for me to make a decision."
While McClain has not set up any official visits he did say that he would probably take his trips to his five leaders. What does he like about each school?
"The schools I'm looking at are all good, and their football teams are all at different places right now. The biggest thing is that I like the coaches at all of those schools. I think they have coaches that do a good job of developing talent and I think they're going to win a lot of games."
While McClain is interested in the Wolfpack he wants more attention from the NC State coaching staff.
"I still like NC State, but it's been about two weeks since I've heard from them. I would like to hear from them more often. I'm still pretty sure I'll take an official visit up there."
