Locker Room Report: Wolfpack Players

RALEIGH, N.C. -- Wolfpack players met with the media following the win over Wofford.

Engin Atsur

"We have high expectations for our defense. They shot the ball really well."

"In the second half coach Lowe did a great job adjusting... we stayed at home on their shooters. We won the game on defense I think."

"We started to get the ball inside and they had a hard time guarding him."

Gavin Grant

"We won the game and we're happy about that."

"We decided that we were going to buckle down, guard our man, and that had a lot to do with us winning the game."

"He was too much of a load for them inside."

"We did what we needed to do to win the game. Ben and Engin carried us tonight."

Ben McCauley

"They shot well. They played very well in the first half."

"We tried breaking them down, challenging every shot... just making sure they don't get easy looks."

"That comes with playing good defense. We played very good defense in the second half."

Courtney Fells

"We knew they were going to be able to shoot the three. We were just not picking up full court or playing up in them close enough."

"Coach told us in the second half to get up in them. Make them dribble before they try to shoot."

"During the timeout coach Lowe told us they were going to try and get #5 the ball. He just told me that I had the defensive assignment. I just wanted to follow him around all the screens and try to make him put it on the floor. Unfortunately he tried to shoot the shot. I was able to get my right hand on the ball."
