Three-star defensive end Linwan Euwell from Southwest Edgecombe in Pinetops, NC was an early commitment for the Wolfpack. The talented, 6-2, 210 pound prospect with 4.6-second speed in the 40 yard dash selected NC State over offers from East Carolina and UNC. He has gone on to have a superb senior campaign- registering close to 70 tackles while adding nine sacks. He is also a starter on offense and came up with a clutch, 23-yard reception that helped the Cougars rally for a win over Bertie and preserve a perfect 12-0 record on the season.

On the recruiting front, Euwell and teammate Sam Battle made a trip to Chapel Hill this past weekend to watch the Pack's loss to UNC. Despite the Wolfpack's struggles this season, Euwell is still looking forward to suiting up for State next season.

"I'm still committed to State," said Euwell. "I've talked to the coaches and they're just telling me that one bad season isn't going to change anything.

"They keep telling me about playing defensive end there. Coach Cignetti is recruiting me and I talk to him once every week. We have a great relationship. He's mentioned to me about setting up an official visit but we haven't gotten around to doing it yet."

Euwell added that his teammate, Sam Battle, is still holding out hope for a Wolfpack offer.

"Sam has heard from a lot of the same schools I have," said Euwell. "He really wants to go to NC State, though. He's hoping they come through with an offer."
