Marietta defeated Sprayberry 88-63 on Tuesday night, and Hickson was the difference. The 6-foot-9 center tallied 31 points and 19 boards, both game-highs.
Hickson followed that effort with a 24-point, 13-rebound outing in Marrietta's 79-45 victory over Walton High. He connected on 12-of-15 from the field in the victory.
Marrietta is now 4-1 on the season and Hickson is a major reason for the hot start. Through five games, he is averaging 24 points and 15.8 boards.
A consensus top 25 player, the 6-foot-9, 220-pound standout is rated the No. 3 center prospect in the country by Scout.com. The network has also tabbed him a five-star prospect and the No. 21 player overall in the class of 2007. He is expected to be a McDonald's All-American this spring.
