If you need a good DB, head to Florida. Doc Holiday has done just that. Making the rounds in Miami and stopping by Christopher Columbus High School, Doc found a defensive player that caught his eye, Patrick Lee (DB 6'0" 180). TSW checked in on Patrick to see how his recruiting and his pre-season practice is going.
"Our team is decent so far and we are getting better. Last year we went 9-2 before losing in the second round of the play-offs. We won the conference but Miami Braddock is picked to win it this year" Patrick said. However, the media picking Braddock didn't sit too well with Lee and we asked him to predict the conference championship. "We will win it again. That's the plan."
The majors are looking and some are offering early in the recruiting process. In an earlier interview Patrick named FSU as the leader and that has not changed. "FSU is the leader right now. They have not offered but they said they would." The rest of the line-up includes Auburn, NC State (both have offered), Florida and Michigan State.
NC State is currently listed second behind FSU. "Coach Holiday came by the school and offered. He also calls and writes when he can. It's not a problem going out of state to play and I want to take a visit there."
A quick decision does not look to be forthcoming from Lee who intends to take his visits. He also has business with Braddock to take care of first.
