Report: Mike Archer Accepts DC Spot at State

NC State has reportedly landed one of the key pieces to their defensive coaching staff.

According to WKYT-TV in Lexington, Ky, Mike Archer has resigned from Kentucky and accepted a similar position as the defensive coordinator at NC State.

Archer reportedly accepted a three year deal that, with incentives, could total $500,000 per year.

Archer has spent the past four seasons at Kentucky. He was the linebacker's coach with the Pittsburgh Steelers from 1996-2002.
