"We executed extremely well. We were patient, set our screens, and took good shots. We got each other open shots. The shots were coming from different areas, from different guys, in different spots. When you're clicking like that, it's nice to see. We got stops defensively and that helped us get the score up."

"[Virginia Tech] made adjustments defensively and switched their screens. We noticed it and were able to take advantage and switch it up. We kept our composure and our focus."

"We're much better when we can go inside and get up early."

"The best thing he [Engin Atsur] did was keeping control of the tempo of the game. It allowed us the opportunity to get the shots we needed. The tempo and our offense helped us hold the game down and keep [Virginia Tech] from getting quick and easy shots. Most of their shots were tough ones. Our defense did a good job."

"I saw toughness, a high level of intensity, and focus."

"Courtney [Fells] took guarding [Zabian] Dowdell as a challenge. When you're focused like that, not on the offense but stopping him, it was tough, but he did a good job."
