Morrison Still Awaits First Offer

Pack Pride catches up with RB/DB Bobby Morrison and has the latest on his recruitment.

RB Bobby Morrison from West Iredell High School in Statesville, NC continues to await his first scholarship offer. The talented running back rushed for 1,358 yards on 234 carries last year and finished the season with 26 touchdowns.

Recruited as both a running back and safety for college, Morrison talked with Pack Pride recently about his recruiting.

"I've been real busy with practice at school and doing stuff to get ready for the season so I haven't had too much time to go to any camps," said Morrison. "I did go to UNC's camp but that's the only one I've had a chance to attend."

NC State had been showing Morrison quite a bit of attention earlier in the year. Is that still the case?

"I'd say NC State is the big one showing the most attention right now," said Morrison. "They talk like they want me to come up there. They send me a lot of mail and have called to check on me and see how I'm doing. Other than NC State, Appalachian State and East Carolina seem to be showing the most interest."

While he's reluctant to name a specific leader, Morrison does have five programs he's keeping a close eye on headed into his senior season.

"Right now I like NC State, Appalachian State, Michigan State, East Carolina and Wake Forest," he said. "I'm going to try to attend some games at State, Wake Forest and App State this fall."

Morrison is rated the No. 37 player in North Carolina by Pack Pride.
