CB AJ McCray has been a utility player in the past for his Camden County squad. The Kingsland, Ga native continues to help his squad in a variety of ways but is seeing most of his action at cornerback and that's likely where he'll project on the division one level. So far, he's helped his team to a 1-1 record.

On the recruiting front, McCray still holds a lone offer from NC State but has heard from several schools since the contact period for college coaches began on Sept 1st.

"NC State is still my only offer," said McCray. "I've gotten calls so far from State, Duke and Middle Tennessee State. I've been getting a lot of letters from Vanderbilt and Georgia Tech and Georgia just sent me something the other day. Right now, I would say NC State, Middle Tennessee State and Georgia Tech are recruiting me the hardest but I think some other schools want to see some of my senior film before they decide to offer. I would say NC State, Georgia Tech and South Carolina are my top schools but I can say it's up for grabs."

McCray talked about a couple of his top schools.

"With NC State, I like the location," he said. "Academically, I really like what they're proposing for me. It reminds me a lot of my school here because we have a really good educational program. Another thing is it just reminds me a lot of home.

"Georgia Tech is a very prestigious school and you have to have good grades to get in there. You've got to be strong in math and that's my strong subject. Of course, it's closer to home and I've got a lot of family in the area."

McCray said he's planning an unofficial visit to either NC State or Georgia Tech in the next couple of weeks but he's in hurry to make a decision.

"I've been playing pretty good so far this year so I think I'll wait it out a while and see what happens."
