Old Riddick Deserves Respect

One hundred years have come and gone since the first football game was played at Riddick Stadium, a modest facility snuggled by the railroad tracks not far from the Bell Tower on N.C. State's north campus. Home for nearly 60 years to the school's football program, Riddick was abandoned following the 1965 season in favor of what was then called Carter Stadium. The old facility was put to other, more prosaic uses. Now Riddick's last vestiges, remnants of a rich history, are quietly vanishing before our eyes. Read More

Pack Kicking Duties Belong to New Faces

After last week's starting punter Nate Franklin fumbled a snap, giving Boston College the ball on the Pack's own 13, coach Tom O'Brien decided it was time for a change. In response, he put in redshirt junior Bradley Pierson, who will now take on the punting duties for the Pack at a position he knows has hurt the Pack in its first two games. Read More
