COMMITMENT DIARY: TERRELL MANNING - WEEK 4
Laurinburg (NC) Scotland County and NC State commitment Terrell Manning is doing a weekly diary for Pack Pride.com that will focus on his senior season. In Manning's fifth entry he discusses last week's win, if he is attending Saturday's game NC State game against Clemson, and much more!
Friday, September 14 (10:40 P.M.)
We did pretty good tonight in our game, but we could have played better. We won 16-12 against Purnell Swett and now we're 4-0.
"The big thing is we got the win."
It was a tough game, and they played like they always play. They are always physical, but they were just more talented this year than they normally are. I did alright, but it wasn't the best game for me. It seemed like their whole offensive line was just coming at me. Either they were running the ball at me with people coming at me or running the ball away from me with people coming at me. Most of the night they ran the other way.
The big thing is we got the win. That feels good. As long as I'm winning, everything is alright with me. I don't care if I make zero tackles, just as long as we win the game.
Sunday, September 16 (1:40 P.M.)
I didn't make it up to State's game last night because I had to attend a funeral. I heard we won the game though so that's good.
"I really hope they win."
Now State has a real challenge coming up this week in Clemson. Man, I really hope they win because that is going to be my team. Clemson was the team that came in right behind State for me. It really doesn't matter whether State wins or not because I know I'm still going to go there, but I just want to see them get that win. I plan on being up in Raleigh this weekend... I'd say it's a 90% chance that I will be there.
Recruiting has slowed down for me ever since I committed. Clemson, they pretty much backed off because I think they know I'm definitely going to State. There has been a couple of schools that came by the school and asked me if I was interested but I told them I'm good where I'm at right now. I'm not going to put any names out there though.
Monday, September 17 (9:40 P.M.)
I've just been getting ready for my next game, and today we had practice.
"I need some more touchdowns."
We play Westover, a team from Fayetteville, this Friday. It's still early in the week so all I really know about them is that they are very athletic. They like to spread it out and pass the football. That's good news for me. I need some more touchdowns.
