Locker Room Report: Tom O'Brien

RALEIGH, N.C. -- NC State head coach Tom O'Brien met the media following the loss to Louisville.

Tom O'Brien

"A discouraging loss for our football team."

"[Harrison Beck] has a shoulder, that's all I know."

"The first ball sails on him. He's throwing it to the right guy. He's open. All we've got to do is throw the ball."

"The fumbles are tough to deal with though. Especially when we've got momentum going."

"It certainly was costly in terms of us holding on to the ball."

"They had it the whole first half I think."

"We always go into the game thinking we are going to win. We got into a situation where it was less than a touchdown heading into the third quarter against a good football team. We liked the position we were in."

"On offense, we stopped ourselves. We fumble, we throw two interceptions, and we fumble."

"You just can't turn the football over the way we do."

"We tried to just get in our gaps, play our gap control, and tackle. That's what we had to do."

"No... I think you punt that ball. Your defense is playing well. We punted them inside the 20-yard line. They got the Lou Groza winner at kicker. You don't want to give them a short field in that situation and give them a chance at a short field goal."

"I think they blew coverages more in the past."
