I made it back up to State for their game against Louisville. It was a pretty good game for me to watch. They lost the game right there at the end when Louisville pulled a way a little bit.

What I liked most about this time going up to Raleigh was that we ended up staying the night up there with some friends from my high school. We had some friends up there that had just graduated a few years back, so we stayed the night with them and it was a college-life experience for me.
There was a five-star wide receiver who was visiting too, [Deion] Walker, and he ended up coming by where we were at. He's a smart guy... I liked him. He's got a lot of big choices to decide from, but I do know that State is still definitely in the race.
At the game I saw the offensive lineman [Sam Jones] that was visiting... man that dude was huge. I didn't get to talk with him, but he's a big boy.
With the game, I thought State played the pass real good, but I didn't think they really played well against the run because it looked like they didn't have good containment on the outside. If they could have contained better and not had as many turnovers on offense, I could see them beating Louisville because they defended the pass as well as you can against them.

We're really into conference play right now and it feels good to still be undefeated.

Last Friday we beat Pinecrest 42-7, and now we're 6-0. The game was alright. I didn't play too long, but we won the game so that is what counts.
Now we're getting ready to play Douglas Byrd, another team out of Fayetteville. They look real good on film. They look fast and tough. I think we have a tough test with them this week.
We usually have blowout games against Douglas Byrd, but it's not going to be a pushover game this year because they look real good. They have a quarterback that I think is supposed to be going to [North] Carolina. He look real fast on film, and he makes a lot of plays. He's definitely a good athlete. We're going to have to stop him.
