Daniel Evans talks about returning to the starting quarterback role and the team's struggles since upsetting Florida State last season.

Daniel Evans

On this week's game against Florida State
"I'm looking forward to it. I think we have a good game plan right now and I think the guys are fired up about going down the Florida State, we've had pretty good success against them the past few years so I think we all know what it takes to win."

On how his role has changed since last season's game
"I don't know if there is more to it but I feel more comfortable and I feel like I can do more this year. I was still trying to feel it out last year, now I kind of know what to expect and know what I'm doing out there."

On his second opportunity as a starter this year
"For the team as a whole its an opportunity. I'm not really focusing on what's going to happen after this game or anything. All I can do is go out there and focus on winning the game and let the chips fall where they may after that."

On the turnover problem
"It's like – what do we do? We focus on it in practice and we focus on it in meetings and everything. I just think its one of those things where it's almost too much talk about it. There comes a point where the players just have to accept responsibility for each individual person and make sure it doesn't happen."

On Chuck Amato
"I definitely respect coach Amato, I enjoyed him as a coach while he was here and I think everyone did. Just the program that he kind of got back on track here at NC State just with the facilities, and the excitement of the fans. I think the fans still respect him too."
