Pack Heavily Pursuing Arnold

Greenville (SC) defensive tackle Arterio Arnold has three offers and another one might be on the way soon from an ACC program.

The Greenville Red Raiders have had an outstanding season to this point. They had a monumental victory over then #1 ranked Gaffney early on but the following week came out and got blown out by Rock Hill 51-8.

2008 DT Arterio Arnold plays a key role for the Red Raiders defense and he talked about it all.

"Yeah it's been real good for us right now. Everybody is playing with a lot of enthusiasm and ready to get to the playoffs. I think the blessing of the season was the loss to Rock Hill, after we beat Gaffney I think we got the big head and that brought us back down to Earth."

Already with a couple of scholarship offers in hand Arnold says he feels another one might be on the way sooon.

"I've got offers from Kentucky, Maryland, and Marshall but I think North Carolina State is real close to offering. I hear the most from Kentucky and NC State these days but I think NC State is recruiting me the hardest out of all the schools."

"I don't really have a favorite at this point. I'm going to wait until the end of the season and see how things work out."

As for the rest of this season Arnold says he's looking forward to the game against the Daniel Lions.

"That game should determine the region championship I think. We're the two best teams in the region and I have to say I think we're #1." Arnold hasn't applied too much pressure upon himself for the rest of the season. "I just want to stay healthy. Last year I missed 5 games and I don't want to miss any this year so I can help my team play hard and hopefully get a state championship."
