S Roy Mangram from Glynn Academy in Brunswick, Ga is one of the hardest hitting defenders in the Peach State. The 6-2, 200 pound senior with 4.6-second speed in the 40-yard dash has tallied close to 50 tackles and two picks this season and that comes on top of a stellar junior season when he collected 150 tackles and two interceptions en route to all-region honors.
Mangram visited NC State for the spring game and the Pack has stayed on him ever since. Today he made a surprise commitment to the Wolfpack.
"Yeah, I committed to NC State," said Mangram. "I just liked the atmosphere up at State and they've got a good team. I told coach McCollum and he was really excited. I'm not sure if they want me to play linebacker or safety right now. Clemson was also recruiting me but South Carolina and State were my top two. I'm not sure about taking any other visits right now but I'm solid to NC State."
Mangram added that he doesn't have a visit set with State currently.
Stay tuned as Pack Pride will have more on Mangram in the near future.
