Locker Room Report: Jamelle Eugene

RALEIGH, N.C. -- NC State tailback Jamelle Eugene met the media following the win over North Carolina. Eugene rushed for 159 yards and three touchdowns on 32 carries, all career highs.

"This win meant a lot for the program, but to me it was more important to get the win for the seniors. It makes me feel good that they trust me with the ball in pressure situations. I know that I trust the offensive line more than anything."

"This was probably one of the better victories I've been a part of. To see the smiles on the seniors faces felt good. I felt, as a team, we were more on edge. The guys were anxious to play. The enthusias was there and as the victories pile up, we start to play better."

"We took it a play at a time. I never knew what the score was until the end. The offense was just trying to get yards - we were focused on that."

"Everyone was buying into each other and the coaching staff, which helped us keep it together. Our belief in each other is so great, it helps us not to get down in pressure situations. I knew our defense would step up and make the play."
