Jones, who now holds offers from NC State, Florida State, Kent State, Akron, Marshall, UTEP, and East Carolina, will be back on the Wolfpack's campus this weekend for an unofficial visit when he attends the Maryland contest. Also, he will be taking an official visit to NC State the following weekend. That is the only official he has scheduled at this time.

  • Pack commit Mike Glennon was selected to play in the inaugural ESPN All-Star Game and he will depart for the event on January 31st. Glennon will be playing on the "Silver" team and is one of three quarterbacks playing for that squad, joining UNC commit Braden Hanson and Oklahoma verbal Landry Jones. Glennon will be rooming with fellow Pack verbal Brandon Barnes, who is listed as a tailback for "Red" team. Hanson is slated to room with Spencer Adams, and Deion Walker (Red) will be rooming with FSU verbal E.J. Manuel (Red). Terry Sanford tight end Dwayne Allen, who will be playing on the Red team, is rooming with South Carolina wideout A.J. Green.

All three are potential mid-year enrollees but have yet to earn offers from NC State. "It's in the academic stage," said coach Chaplick.

  • Pack targets WR Deion Walker, TE Dwayne Allen and OL Nick Becton will all be visiting Virginia Tech this weekend. Allen's visit will be official.
