Georgia has become prime recruiting ground for NC State in 2007 and that was accentuated today when the Pack picked up their fourth commitment from the Peach State for the class of 2008.

S Elton Ford from Chattahoochee High School in Alpharetta, Ga.hosted an in-home visit today with Wolfpack special team's coach Jerry Petercuskie and came away with the Pack's newest verbal commitment.

"Yes sir, I committed to NC State today," said Ford. "I had a good experience with the coaches. I met with the DB coach, Mike Reed and I just got a good vibe about State. Me and my mom sat down and talked about where I wanted to go and so I committed. We both felt comfortable with NC State.

"When I told coach Petercuskie, he was really excited and said that he believed I would have a great career at NC State."

In addition to NC State, Ford had picked up offers from Western Michigan and Middle Tennessee State as well as recruiting interest from Louisville, UNC, Central Florida and Michigan State. However, it was Tom O'Brien and his staff that sold Ford on the Wolfpack.

"The main thing was the coaching staff," said Ford. "I'm going to be with them for a long time. Plus, I got to know coach Reed and he showed me some of the techniques and things and I just knew that's where I wanted to play."

Ford will make his official visit to NC State on Dec 14. He will begin his career as a safety at NC State.
