With commitments from Leroy Burgess and Thomas Locust already in the fold, NC State completed it's defensive tackle recruiting this weekend with a commitment from Marty Everett of South Sumter High School in Bushnell, Fla.
At 6-4, 288 pounds, Everett had roughly 50 tackles and four sacks en route to all-conference honors and an invitation to the Florida North-South all-star game. While he entertained early interest from Florida State, Tennessee and Florida among others, the three-star defensive tackle made just one official visit and that was to Raleigh this weekend. Pack Pride talked with Everett about the trip and his decision to run with the Pack.
"Ye sir, I committed to NC State," said Everett. "I saw that they needed some help (at defensive tackle) and I felt like I could help them out a lot. Coach Swepson was recruiting me and he had been on me for a while now."
Pack Pride will have much more on Everett's commitment to NC State so stay tuned!
