The Recruiting Scene: Jackson was a sleeper on the national recruiting scene but a legend in Georgia circles among those who followed his high school career. Building on their desire to expand their recruiting reach into the state of Georgia, NC State was impressed with Jackson's ability and offered him in October of 2007. Several days later he would make an unofficial visit to State for the Pack's thrilling win over Virginia and that trip moved the Wolfpack to the top of Jackson's list. Just ten days later Jackson would go public with his commitment to the NC State coaching staff. He would remain solid for the Pack despite an offer and heavy interest from the Miami Hurricanes.
Scouting Report: "Jackson has a tremendous frame and size and combines that with a tough, hard-nosed style of running that is almost reminiscent of a throw-back type of player. He has quick feet and the ability to elude defenders. Because of his strength and skill-set, he will be a perfect fit as a fullback in Dana Bible's offensive system." – Pack Pride Recruiting Analyst Steve Williams
