S Roy Mangram
6-1, 190 pounds, 4.5 seconds in the 40
Glynn Academy, Brunswick, Ga

Prospect Ranking:
Rated a three-star prospect and the No. 32 safety in the nation by Scout.com, No. 33 safety in the nation by ESPN

Accomplishments: As a senior Mangram had 51 tackles and 12 sacks. For his efforts he was named all-region and selected to play in the Georgia North/South all-star classic.

Academics: Has work to do and prep or junior college is a definite possibility

The Recruiting Scene: Mangram appeared on the NC State recruiting radar when he attended the Pack's red and white game last spring. The Pack stayed on Mangram for several months before pulling the trigger on a scholarship offer in October and he wasted little time in accepting. Clemson and South Carolina were also involved.

Scouting Report: At 6-1, 190 pounds, Mangram is an extremely physical player with a tremendous build for a high school player. He is an absolutely ferocious hitter and his calling card is his fearlessness in delivering a tackle. He still needs to improve his technique in coverage but his explosiveness and quickness to the ball has many considering him as one of the top sleepers in the class of 2008. Should he continue to grow, there's certainly the possibility he could grow into a college outside linebacker. — Pack Pride Recruiting Analyst Steve Williams
