Williams is the all-time leader in Jack Britt High School history in points, rebounds, and blocks and he is near the top in steals and assists.

Now with his prep career behind him, Williams sets his sights on suiting up for the Wolfpack. Pack Pride spoke with Williams following one of his recent games and next week we'll have more highlights of him in action so stay tuned!

Since you're going to NC State next year, what did you think of this past season and the team's struggles?
It was team chemistry mostly. When you've got a superstar player like a J.J. Hickson or something, that changes the framework of your team because now you've got to work to put him in the offense. They struggled with the chemistry issue a little bit, but I think we can get it together next year.

What do you see yourself adding to the team next year? What's your role going to be?
I don't know what role I'm going to have. I just want to come in, and really all I want to do is win. Being the competitor that I am, all I want to do is win.

"It's just polishing my skills for the next level."

Your defense is pretty solid, but what do you think you need to add to your offensive game?
The ability to beat people off the dribble is probably the biggest thing I need to work on, but I think I can do that too. It's just polishing my skills for the next level.

How'd you think you did today?
We won. That's the most important thing. I think I could've done a little bit better at getting my shots off. I think I could've played better defense too. Any game, you're going to have mistakes and all you can do is when the next game comes, forget about the last game and take advantage of what you can do.

Your teammate Tashawn Mabry is also considering NC State. Are you talking to him about NC State?
Oh yeah. I'm talking to him a little bit, you know, trying to get him to come to State. He's a great player. He's so athletic and his skills are so polished - it's ridiculous. I've never seen somebody that's a sophomore at that skill level in person.
