Closer Look: Roster Changes

With the opener at South Carolina just weeks away, NC State has released an updated roster and there are several notable changes.

  • At Monday's press conference, NC State head coach Tom O'Brien stated that William Beasley, Tobais Palmer, and Marty Everett will not enroll this fall as they didn't qualify for admission. The three incoming freshmen were listed on the roster in the media guide, but obviously won't be on the team.

Two other Wolfpack signees, Roy Mangram and Thomas Locust, were not listed on the roster. Mangram will head to Georgia Military College, a decision he made prior to signing with NC State, and the future destination of Locust, a defensive tackle out of Cerritos (CA) College, is unknown. Coaches at Cerritos informed Pack Pride that Locust not enrolling at NC State wasn't due to academics.

  • Here are the scholarship newcomers listed in the media guide (slated to enroll) and the numbers assigned to them: 72 Zach Allen, 9 Brandon Barnes, 95 LeRoy Burgess, 87 Mario Carter, 25 Akeem Cunningham, 8 Mike Glennon, 6 T.J.
