McPhadden returns from NC State official visit

Aubrey McPhadden has arrived back in Jacksonville, Florida after being hosted by NC State for his first official visit. He also received the news that the Wolfpack will be down in his hometown for the New Year's Gator Bowl. TSW caught up with him to see how his trip went and to get his latest thoughts about NC State.

McPhadden has one other trip set for January 25th when he travels to Tallahassee to tour Florida State. He does intend to schedule more officials in the coming days.

The trip to Raleigh was timely, as Aubrey was able to compare the two programs in a head to head match-up that saw NC State beat FSU 17-7, in what is fast becoming one of the hottest rivalries in the ACC.

TSW: How was your visit to Raleigh and NC State?

McPhadden: It went well. It was pretty nice up there.

TSW: Who was your host?

McPhadden: Terrance Chapman.

TSW: What kind of things did he do as a host?

McPhadden: He showed me around. We also got to see the basketball team play on Friday.

TSW: Were you able to see the football game?

McPhadden: Yes, NC State beat Florida State. It was a good game.

TSW: Were you able to hang out in the locker room?

McPhadden: Yes. The players were cool.

TSW: Did you know that NC State will be at the Gator Bowl on January 1st?

McPhadden: Yes. Coach Canales called and told me.

TSW: How far are you from the Gator Bowl?

McPhadden: About three miles. I will go watch them play while they are here.

TSW: Do you still plan on taking more visits?

McPhadden: Yes. I will make my decision in January.

TSW: On a scale of one to ten, how would you rate your trip to Raleigh?

McPhadden: Hmmm, I would say about 8.5.

TSW: Thanks Aubrey. I'll call you after the Gator Bowl.
