NC State has brought in several prospects from the Triangle area in recent years and the staff is now looking at Apex High School senior running back Kevin Fogg. He's very familiar with the Pack's program and would love an offer.
Currently the 5-10, 170 pound back with 4.5-second speed in the 40-yard dash holds offers from Elon, Presbyterian and Western Carolina. He has been in contact with NC State and UConn, and both of those schools have made it clear that they're interested in what he has to offer.
"Our season is going well right now," Fogg said. "I'm kind of sick right now but I'll be alright. As for recruiting, NC State has been recruiting me hard. I'm just not sure what's going to happen with them though (as far as their interest).
"I've been to all of State's home games except for one. I've mostly been talking to Coach Archer (NC State defensive coordinator Mike Archer). My coach sent in all of my film to them and they told me they would be coming to my next game. I'll have to wait and see what happens. I just don't know if they're going to offer."
Fogg said he will not miss any game time due to his sickness and that's a good thing, considering he was plagued by injuries as a junior. He burst onto the scene as a sophomore, rushing for 1,500 yards, before missing a good bit of action last season. For now it is likely most major colleges will want to evaluate how his senior season continues to progress before deciding on a potential scholarship offer.
Fogg told PackPride.com that he does not have any favorites and will likely make his decision in either late December or early January.
