The talented youngster recently picked up his first offer of the recruiting process.
At 6-2 and 210 pounds, Shembo runs the 40-yard dash in 4.72 seconds. He still has room for growth and has barely begun to tap into his enormous potential. This week he learned that he would soon be getting a written offer in the mail from one of the schools he has a high level of interest in.
"NC State called and said they would like to offer me," Shembo said. "That's what they told my coach. My coach told me that they wanted to [offer me], so I went into the room and they said they'd be offering me a full ride.
"They want me to come down this weekend. I'll probably be there if my dad's not too busy. They're a good team and a rising program. I'm just not looking to commit right away or anything."
Shembo said it is especially exciting because it is the first offer he has received. That will take a lot of pressure off him as he moves into the offseason.
Ardrey Kell's season is over and on the year Shembo put up good numbers, recording eight sacks and two interceptions while forcing two fumbles. NC State isn't the only school showing interest from the ACC.
Shembo said he is in no hurry to make a decision.
