Locker Room Report: Wolfpack Players

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- Several NC State players met with the media after Saturday's 41-10 win over North Carolina.

Russell Wilson

"He's a great player. He's got great speed... loves catching the ball."

"They recruited me pretty hard for the most part. They were looking at me, but they had their quarterback and stuff. I wasn't really worried about it. I knew I'd find the situation... I believed in God and trusted in him finding me a great situation and I'm in a great situation here at NC State."

"Forget about this game and move on... realize the mistakes we made and the good things we've done and use that as a beneficial thing."

"I'm trying to win this last game against Miami."

"The offensive line did a great job tonight. They made plays."

Willie Young

"We're believing in one another and that's been one of our big things right now."

"Belief... a great coaching staff and great, great leadership. We always knew that a lot of the games we lost came down to the fourth quarter. It wasn't that we didn't have a chance, we couldn't find a way to win."

"It all just kind of pulled together for us."

Nate Irving

"It gives us great momentum going into our last game. It should have us fired up for Miami."

"I think we're a good team and they are a good team. Any team that comes out and plays hard every snap and imposes their will can come away with the win."

"We were going for that mythical state title which we received today. It gives us bragging rights for the year."

Owen Spencer

"It's a rivalry for me. This game is a big game for the whole State community."

"We really did it for our seniors... to get a win on the road is a big present for them."

"This is a big win for us."

Jamelle Eugene

"That's the o-line. Anybody can run behind that. They really just dominated the defensive front. I don't even know if they really wanted to play today. Towards the end of the game, it seems like they kind of gave up. The oline just beat them to sleep really."

"They've been doing a lot of talking throughout the week, talking about this is our championship game and stuff like that. We're just trying to take it a game at a time and win each game. They've been hyped up so much by the media that they forgot who they really are and who they were playing. The oline came and showed them what it was."

"It's big for recruiting and things like that and big for the program, but really what it comes down to is it's a step in the right direction. We're trying to make a bowl and beating UNC was just a step in the right direction."

DeAndre Morgan

"We had a feeling that they were going to start Yates. They went with that and we just were prepared for it all week long."

"It didn't matter which quarterback they played. We just had to go out and play our football."

"They looked at us as I guess if we're second-class to them. We came over here with a chip on our shoulder like we do every year we play them."

"Talking down on us like we were nobodies. They made it seem like we were just coming here to play and win a championship and it wasn't a big deal for them."

"We've just got to keep putting things together."

"Russell is a great quarterback. He's a great athlete."
