Locker Room Report: Wolfpack Players

RALEIGH, N.C. -- Ben McCauley and Simon Harris met with the media following the Pack's 62-60 win over Loyola.

Ben McCauley

"Except for my free throws – they were bad today. I need to work on that. That's gonna be key for not only myself but the team. But I felt good out there – its good to get the ball inside and take it up strong."

"If we expect to win in the ACC I have to make those free throws."

"We felt that we were going to win this game. There was never any doubt in my mind or anyone else's mind that they were going to make a big shot to win the game. We knew if we buckled down defensively, and we learned a lot from last game, they had a wide-open shot last game and we weren't going to do that this game."

"Obviously you don't want to win by two against a small team like that. I'm not taking anything away from them but we were a little sluggish. Coming off the break a lot of guys went home, a lot of traveling involved but you can't make any excuses. You have to be ready to play come game time."

Simon Harris

"On any given night anybody can beat anybody. They were knocking down their open shots like they were supposed to, they were executing on offense creating. They played a great game."

"Lulls come with the game occasionally because its a game of runs. Out of all the major sports its a game of runs so its to be expected. I'm just glad we got the 'W.'"

"I wouldn't say anything more or less bothered me. We executed our game plan, we just missed a lot of open jump shots."
