Locker Room Report: Wolfpack Players

RALEIGH, N.C. -- Brandon Costner and Tracy Smith met with the media following the Pack's win over Towson.

Tracy Smith

"Brandon gave me about six assists. I told him I was going to recover from last game because he was throwing me passes and I fumbled them."

"I was feeling good at the free throw line. I think I'm getting my touch back from the free throw line."

"I was wide open in the back everytime and they found me."

"I work on them in practice. I try to make 100 or 125 [free throws] before I leave. That's what I do."

"We came out in the second half and said in the first five minutes we were going to jump on them and that's what we did."

"I just wanted to come in and bring energy to the team."

Brandon Costner

"Long shots and long rebounds. It wasn't that we're not blocking out, the ball was coming off funny."

"We came out really flat to start the game. We needed to pick up our intensity on the defensive end and that's what we did. It really changed the game."

"We were being way too passive against the zone. Once we started attacking and got Tracy some easy baskets, it opened up everything for everyone else."

"It's easy when your teammates cut, get open, and make shots."

"I'm a good passer."

"[Laughing] It's about time he made some free throws isn't it?"

"I'm hoping it's a similar atmosphere to Cameron because that's always a good atmosphere to play in."
