McClover Remains Wide Open

One of the top prospects left on NC State's recruiting board from the class of 2003 is defensive end Stanley McClover. The Florida Senior recently took an official visit to NC State and TSW caught up with him to see how it went.

Stan McClover (6-4, 236, 4.5) of Fort Lauderdale Dillard, Florida is one of the top defensive ends in the country. He played mainly offensive tackle as a junior, but moves to DE for his final season. He has good size, great speed, and quickness.

Tonight, I spoke with Stanley on the phone to try to gauge where he's leaning at the moment.

TSW: Stanley, did you enjoy your visit to NC State on December 6th?

McClover: It was a very good visit. I really had a good time.

TSW: Who was your host during your stay?

McClover: I was hosted by Tramain Hall.

TSW: What sort of things did you guys do during the visit?

McClover: Well, he showed me around campus. He introduced me to the other players. We just hung out and had a good time.

TSW: What do you think of the coaching staff?

McClover: They have a very good coaching staff. I could really see myself playing there for four years.

TSW: Who is recruiting you from NC State?

McClover: Doc Holliday is recruiting me.

TSW: What do you think of the new facilities being completed?

McClover: They are very nice facilities. They are spending millions.

TSW: Does the University of Florida still lead in the recruiting battle?

McClover: Right now, I would say I'm pretty wide open. I'm not leaning toward any particular school at the moment.

TSW: How would you rate your visit to NCSU, on a scale from 1-10?

McClover: I would give it an 8. The only reason I wouldn't give it a 10 is because of how far away Raleigh is from home.

TSW: Thanks for your time this evening. I look forward to speaking with you again in the near future.
