Lake View (SC) linebacker Quandon Christian made his verbal commitment earlier than most prospects but decided to officially visit NC State last week. What does he think of the Pack now that he's had some time to think things over?
The 6-3, 235 pound linebacker spoke with Pack Pride recently about the status of his verbal commitment to Clemson, where NC State stands and what it would take for him to change his mind.
"The visit to State went great," Christian said one week after returning to the Palmetto State from Raleigh. "Touring the campus and stadium was great and I loved talking to the coaches and players.
"Coach McCollum, coach Bridge and coach O'Brien are real good guys. I enjoyed talking to all of them."
So as Signing Day approaches is Christian still solid to Clemson?
"I'm still a solid commit to Clemson," Christian said, before pausing. "But I'm still thinking about NC State. I don't know what it would take to change that. I can just say I'm thinking about it."
Coaches from both Clemson and NC State made the trip to Lake View to make their case recently.
"State has just been telling me that I would have an opportunity to come in and start if I commit there. Things haven't changed with Clemson since the (coaching) change. I still like them a lot. I've just decided to look at another school, too."
The three-star prospect said he will not be 100-percent sure of what he will do until he signs his letter of intent on National Signing Day.
