    Upon Further Review
    The box score from the Virginia Tech at Boston College game on Jan. 31 had one error that has been corrected ... A.D. Vassallo was originally credited for 5-of-7 from the free throw line and J.T. Thompson was listed as 0-of-0 from the line ... In fact, Thompson was 1-of-2 from the line and Vassallo was 4-of-5 from the line ... Thompson has now been credited with one point and Vassallo is now listed correctly as having scored 20 points in the game.

    Blazing Numbers
    Hokie guard Malcolm Delaney is currently averaging 22.9 points per game in ACC play this season ... In home ACC games this year, Delaney is averaging 26.7 points per game ... Since the Hokies lost at #5/5 Duke on Jan. 4, Delaney is averaging 22.9 points per game.

    Since He Returned
    Hank Thorns missed three games in December with a sprained right knee ... Since he returned to the line-up at Duke on Jan. 4, he has taken care of the ball, always a virtue for point guards ... In the eight games since his return, Thorns has 29 assists and just five turnovers ... He has 44 assists and 21 turnovers on the season ... He had seven assists and no turnovers combined in the games at #5/5 Duke and at #1/1 Wake Forest and followed the win at WFU with a career-high eight assists and just one turnover in the overtime win at Miami ... The eight assists ties a Virginia Tech team-high this season.

    Making a Point
    The Hokies defeated Miami, 88-83, in overtime in Coral Gables on Jan. 25 ... The 88 points is the fifth-highest point total for the Hokies in an ACC game ... Tech's all-time high in an ACC game was a 94-88 regulation win against #1 North Carolina on Jan. 13, 2007 in Cassell Coliseum.

    Big Half
    The Hokies scored 53 points in the first half of the loss to #12/11 Clemson ... That is the most points scored in a half by the Hokies this season and the most by a Hokie team in any half since Tech scored 53 points in the first half against West Florida on Nov. 14, 2006 ... It is the most points scored by a Tech team in a half against Division I competition since also scoring 53 points in the second half against Maryland-Eastern Shore on Nov. 23, 2004.

    Rise and Give Me 30
    Malcolm Delaney scored 37 points in the loss to #12/11 Clemson, the most points by a Hokie this season ... A.D. Vassallo and Jeff Allen had each registered 30 points for the Hokies earlier in the season ... It marks the sixth time since the Hokies joined the ACC that a Tech player has scored 30-or-more points in a game and the 10th time under Seth Greenberg that a Hokie has scored 30-or-more points in a game ... The 37 points ties for the most points scored by a Hokie under Greenberg ... Bryant Matthews also had 37 points against Old Dominion in the 2003- 04 season.

    Soaring with the Eagles
    In the win over Boston College, Jeff Allen recorded a new career-high with 30 points ... He followed that with 23 points and 11 rebounds against the Eagles in Chestnut Hill on Jan. 31 ... Allen did not play against BC in the first game last season, but had 13 points and 10 rebounds against the Eagles in Cassell Coliseum last season ... In his three games against BC, Allen is averaging 22.0 points and 10.0 rebounds per game.

    In the Lead
    The Hokies currently lead the ACC in field goal percentage in ACC games ... The Hokies are shooting 46.9 percent from the floor in league games, up from 44.7 percent in all games ... Tech shot 42.0 percent in ACC games last season.

    Delaney Stepping Up
    Malcolm Delaney entered the Wake Forest game averaging 16.7 points per game ... He upped that average with 21 points in the win at the top-ranked Demon Deacons and followed that with a then-career-high 29 points in the overtime win at Miami in the next game ... That career-high proved to be short-lived, as he scored 37 points in the next game, a home loss to #12/11 Clemson ... He enters tonight's game averaging 18.5 points per game overall and 22.9 points per game.
