POSITION BREAKDOWN (NOTE: The information here is solely the opinion of Pack Pride and should be considered for discussion purposes only.)

    Morgan Alexander

STRENGTHS: Alexander has tremendous straight-line speed, good acceleration, and reliable hands catching the ball out of the backfield. He plays tough, and he is versatile enough to impact at wide receiver, tailback, cornerback, or on special teams.

WEAKNESSES: He needs time to adjust and learn the nuances of running routes as a wide receiver, since he mainly played tailback in high school. As with most incoming freshmen, he will need to add strength and size.

ACADEMICS: He projects as a full qualifier.

    IMPACT IN 2009? Likely Redshirt

    Quintin Payton

STRENGTHS: Payton is an outstanding route-runner and is very adept at finding holes in the zone. At a legit 6-foot-4, he has a height mismatch that gives him an advantage over smaller defensive backs. He also has reliable hands and can make tough catches all over the field. With his size, he could be a go-to target in the redzone.

WEAKNESSES: Payton does not have blazing speed, and on film he hasn't shown the ability to make people miss.

ACADEMICS: He projects as a full qualifier.

    IMPACT IN 2009? Likely Redshirt

    Bryan Underwood

STRENGTHS: Quicker than fast, Underwood has the ability to turn short completions into big plays. The prototypical slot receiver, he is very elusive and can make people miss. Despite being undersized, he plays extremely tough and shows the ability to make catches over defenders.

WEAKNESSES: Underwood is smallish right now... he needs to get bigger to take on D-1 defenders. He will need time to sharpen his route-running skills.

    ACADEMICS: Academics Unknown

IMPACT IN 2009? He could potentially see the field, especially as a returner, but redshirting is more likely.
