Locker Room Report: Wolfpack Players

RALEIGH, N.C. -- Farnold Degand, Javi Gonzalez, Brandon Costner, and Courtney Fells met with the media following the Pack's win over Wake Forest.

Farnold Degand

"At first I was a little worried but at the end of the day it doesn't matter if we win by 20 or win by one."

"In practice we've been emphasizing pushing it and just being a little bit more aggressive. The whoel season I've just been passing the ball and trying to stay away and I think its been hurting the team more than helping."

"No Virginia Tech was going to go down. I wasn't going to let it go down. I didn't play at Virginia Tech so I was definitely going to come into this game and make sure we won this game."

Javi Gonzalez

"No one expected us to win and play the way we did. Being up by 20 against the No. 7 team in the country, other teams are going to start respecting us a little bit more."

"We've been up a large leads – 20, 18, 16 and we weren't able to hold them up. But today we did everything we could to keep it and get the win."

"It feels great to get a win against a good team like Wake Forest."

Courtney Fells

"It feels great. It's a good relief. I thought we played well last game against Virginia Tech but we didn't close the game. We got into the same situation tonight but we were able to knock down our free throws and win the game.

"We still have seven, eight games left. You never know what is going to happen. Maybe we can get on a run."

"I was like forget that [VT loss], we have to win this ballgame. The No. 7 team in our house, we can't lose this."

Brandon Costner

"We knew that Courtney's size would probably bother him a little bit and Courtney is one of the better defensive players in the ACC so we weren't too worried about his production."

"That was one of our most important keys to the game and we really focused on trying to get back. We weren't perfect, we had a couple of lapses, but for the most part we did a good job."

"You see us – we can play with anybody. We can give good efforts, we can be in games, we can be winning games. So really its a matter of us focusing on what we need to do, as a team collectively, and getting the job done like we did tonight."
